Do you know anyone that has been sexually or physically abused as a child, people feel sorry for these victims and no one knows how to fix the problem. The laws are drastic, they lock away the predator but what about the poor child. They grow to live with the torment, when the child reaches an adolesent age, childhood experiences have blossomed into a craving for an unusual attention. This has happened to a relative now she makes more money than me, but i could never put myself into that type of industry. Its the only way she re-gains the power she lost as a child. She is happy with herself, her friends have other stories, Very interesting ones too.... I cant believe some of the selfish answers you've recieved pitty those people who have no insight to the matter.

I remember knowing a girl many years ago who was 15 and a prostitute. I asked her why she did it (she was a ward of the courts, and had a place in a group home, so she needed nothing like food or shelter)
Her response was this: "if my Uncle could f*ck me for free, then I am going to make someone pay"....
I think prosititution has been glamourized alot in the last 20 years...anyone remember the movie "Pretty Woman"? I am sure after seeing that movie, many young girls thought they might be "saved" by a Richard Gere sort of character.
On the whole, one should look at society and how they feel about sex. IE watch MTV and how women are portrayed in videos...Dress and dance like a ho, shake your booty, use your sexuality to get what you want...This is what young girls are being exposed to, it's not surprising that some girls actually "aspire" to be a prostitute!

Some girls don't know what to do with there life so the go in to prostitution and get paid lots of money or the girl has low self esteem and they might feel imported or special because the guy pays attention to them....also another reason could be is that they like sex and might as well get paid for something that they like.

Prostitution is a quick way to make large amounts of money. Even though it's illegal in most places. They see it as the fastest way they can get money. That's definitely one reason and another just might be just for the pleasure of sex.

Well, I can't say that I've known any girls that did want to become a prostitute. So apparently I don't know the answer!

i dont know why. but did u ever look at the fact that a gf or a wife costs more than a prostitute. and that they are the most expesnsive piece of booty you will ever pay for. at least that was one of the words of wisdom my dad told me. if u would call that wisdom.

Easy money.
They usually are drug addicts. And since you don't have to be socially acceptable to be a prostitute (and most addicts aren't) then prostitute is a good career choice.
