What is the extension on the video file? One of the best free media players is VLC. You can find it at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

You can also start Windows Media Player usually under Start/All programs/accessories/entertainment/Windows Media Player. Then move your mouse to the top of the Media Player Window and click on "file/open" Point to your CD rom drive/video file and you should be able to play the video if WMP understands the file type.

If the CD has more tahn one SESSION on it, Windows will only see one of them.
