I just now bought a new PC Chips P23G motherboard and Intel Core 2 Duo processor. However, when I turn on the computer, I don't get any display. Theres power but no display. I contacted tech support and they told me to set the jumper to clear the CMOS which I did and then set it back to normal. The MB came shipped with the jumper set to Clear CMOS but I tried it anyway. When I set it to normal I don't even get any power at all. What is wrong?

Then what you think is "normal" is actually "reset"

Do you get ANY beeps from the speaker?
Video error should be "BEEEEEEEEP-Beep-Beep-Beep" (1 long, 3 short) Reseat Video card.
Memory Error: Beeeeeep, Beeeeeep, Beeeeep (long repeated tones, may also be bad board) reseat memory.

Get your hardware to the barebones basics, memory, video, processor ONLY (no keyboard, mouse, sound, anything) see how it behaves.

Report back to the thread when you have a chance.

It happens often with new components ... the contacts on various leads may not be fully inserted.

Reseat (take out & put back) all adapter cards & memory modules.

Works 9 out of 10 times.... given that all is in good working order.

well you know you should ground yourself with a wrist strap
or else it could fry your motherboard but i dont completly beleive that
but did you insert the bios set up disc and all of the setup disk
because if you insert one of those setup disk it should start seting it up
but check your video card to see if its connected and check all monitor status
