What do you guy's think? I have A-rod on my team but am thinking to trade him for Crawford and a decent pitcher. Do you think he can keep his stats from Japan on the Devil Rays?

He definitely has excellent stats from the Japanese league, but look at Godzilla up in New York. Matsui hit over 50 homers a year in Japan but when he came over here he hits around 20. However, Matsui still is a .300+ hitter and I expect about the same for Iwamura. He won't hit for as much power like his 35 homers in Japan, but he will still be a good contact hitter and get around 20 stolen bases if he plays most of year.

Simply put, if Iwamura is your replacement for A-Rod, I think I'd think twice before going through with this deal. He will probably take a bit to adjust and when he does he will not match his stats from Japan. Not to mention he plays on a team with almost no offense around him......

Iwamura will have a tough time transitioning to American pitching and bigger ballparks. Expect every statistic to be slightly lower this year as he adjusts. I would expect .280, 20-25 HRs, 70 RBIs, and 5-10 SBs.
