As someone in California I resent your comment. And besides, I think the better word you want is to annex us away from The US rather than liberate.
What's wrong with a little useful socialism? Everyone gets what they need, no one gets left out. If Doctors and those that run the program are doing it in an illegal fashion, many people will notice and shut down the problem. With all the review boards, licenses, and other checks-and-balances I don't see how or why any doctor who want's to keep practicing medicine would risk such a thing as you are suggesting!
Our local city and state government leaders are flawed human indivuduals. Yet, how is it you can't believe it's just as much an issue in every other state? We all have insurance and medical issues to deal with it comes to people without money=poor and/or the elderly in care. And if it was not working, there would be a community uprising somewhere to change it. Of the reported 38 million in the state, there are certainly close to if not at least a million who are very vocal, if not downright activists when it comes to hot topics they feels strongly for/about, Including me!

No this is a dumb question. Also there is nothing wrong with socilists. This country was founded on people being able to disagree with the government.
