Yes, but you'll be doing 75k worth of work. There is no reason to come here to Alaska. If you want to make 30K during the summer without coming to Alaska, just work 20 hours per day where you are. The hours will be about the same as the Alaskan jobs you've read about, but they will be far less risky. Working 2 full time and 1 part time jobs should just about do it.

You can make great money in Alaska in the summer. You can work on the Alaska Railroad (ARR) as a cook, waitstaff, etc. ARR has it's own dining car, but they also pull Princess and Westours and they each have their own dining cars.
As for 30k, if you came up at the end of April and worked through September, yes maybe.
As for the fishing jobs, you would need to know somebody to get on a fishing boat that actually catch the fish. Most of the jobs advertised are working on a cannery boat and they are no fun at all...
If you were seriously looking for a job, you'd need to come up here in about 2 weeks (mid April) when the companies start hiring!

You've probably heard of those elusive huge seafood fishing boats, which can make a large amount of money in a short time period.
That rate is for a full deckhand, and you'd be signing on as a green hand, I would assume, no experience? You'd find your pay much smaller than the deckhands'. I don't know how hard it is to break into that job market, but I'm sure it's pretty tough. Good luck.
