My son will be 13 tomorrow and I thought it would be a good idea to have a party at Chuck E Cheese but he is totally flipping out saying I will embarass him if I do that. Do you think that's true or is he just being difficult because he thinks he's becoming a man?

Ok guys...I would never do that to my kid...LOL. Its just been a joke for the past few weeks and for awhile he actually thought I was being serious. But it was kinda funny to see the look of horror on his face when I told him I had already booked the place!

While you are there, are you planning on putting a bib on him and cutting his pizza into little tiny bites so he doesn't choke?

Really, Chucky's is for small children's parties. Yes, you might still see some teens in there playing video games, but not at a birthday party thrown by parents in front of his friends.

I love the idea of Hooters, but I'm afraid he and his friends will all give themselves whiplash.

He is telling you the truth!! 13 is a bit old to have a Chuck E. Cheese birthday party. My kid turned 13 last September. If he wants to invite some friends over, provide lots of water balloons. Sounds as childish as a Chuck E. Cheese party, but they will have a blast without any embarrassment. Just ask him to think about it and give you a couple of ideas. Give him a time limit (i.e., 3 hours, a day, 2 days). That's what works best with my teenager.

Okay, when you go to Chuckee Cheese you will probably see little kids with parents, and the occasional older kids with siblings. Look around at Studio 10. All the kids with the birthdays age is 9 or lower. At 13 years, kids want pool party's and stuff. Sorry, but maybe its not the best idea.

If he was 3 yrs Chuck E Cheese is the place to be. Since he is 13 yrs old you could do better than that. I know he is not a grown man yet but some parts are telling him he has man needs already ( no disrespect ) Please don't embarrass the boy like that.

Having a birthday party for a 13 year old is like sticking your head in honey and putting it in a beehive. 13 is the age where kids start their rebellious stage. If your son likes playing in those disease- carrying tubes with a bunch of 5 year olds, go ahead. Just don't invite anyone from his school to the party because they will not have a good time. Trust me, I've been in that situation before.

I think 13 is too old for a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese, I wouldn't do it.

Chuck E. Cheese is for 3-year-olds. Sports themes or music are about your only choices if you are planning a theme for a 13-year-old boy. Maybe take them all to a movie. Definitely NOT to see an overgrown mouse and his pals singing.

You could have his birthday at Chuck E Cheese if you want him to get ridiculed for the rest of his life and have his friends give him an atomic wedgie. Give him a break, mom. Take him to do something cool. Especially if he's with his friends.

I think it's his birthday and he should have a say about his party. He really is to old for that now. Why not mini golf, skating, bowling, take a couple of his friends to the movies. Talk to him throw some ideas around!!!
