nadal is a great player but his shorts adjusting habit gets too sick and disgusting.his coach says its a nervous habit but i feel its now become a superstition with him(his other superstition being adjusting his socks).maybe he should wear more comfortable clothes cos his pirate pants seem too tight.man that guy has some guts to do this repeatedly when billions around the world are watching him.i really hope he somehow dumps this habit atleast decreases it cos it looks really sick.

A lot of tennis players have little quirks that they do after every point. It just becomes habit when playing and helps the player focus their energy into one thing and not think about losing a point, or the next point, etc. Monica Seles always played with her strings after every point and its a habit that I do as well. It helps me focus. Maybe that's Nadal's little quirk. Or maybe his weird gaucho shorts are just uncomfortable in the crotch.

almost every player on the court has some minor thing to do in between points.
probably it is their own way of concentrating the next point and a way not to be distracted by others.
nadal not only adjusts his shorts but he adjusts his socks as well

No doubt he is one of the best players today. But it really is a mystery why he does that. Maybe he wears a man's sport thong? Is there is such a thing?
Is he even aware he does it infront of worldwide television? If played against him or loose i think twice about shaking his hands.

Obviously it is a habit, so why fault him for it? I think that it help him prepare for the point and he should feel comfortable. As far as the nature of the quirk...who knows?

i always thought it was because he wears a thong. i bet it makes him feel uncomfortable having a piece of fabric up his butt. it makes sense but ive also heard that he does it because its become a nervous habit. so take your pick... i personally think he wears a man thong but for a man who looks as good as he does that is a complete turn off to see him picking at it all the time!
