any gas will start a fire but the best way to start a fire with gas and keep it going is to soak the wood in gas and let in soak in for about five minutes or so this way the gas will be more into the wood. this is also the best way i have found to start charcoal also for regular barbecue grills.

Use diesel or kerosene. Gasoline ignites too fast and burns out quickly. You could also use charcoal lighter fluid. But I would use diesel because it is not cost too much. If you have some old styrofoam laying around you can dissolve it in gasoline and use that it will burn for a long time.

I have always used diesel and old motor oil mixed together, seems to burn longer and keeps bus at bay.

take unleaded gasoline and soak Styrofoam in it and it will burn for hours
