Any book can be helpful to learn how, but the real magickk comes from yourself. I have always thought that the mind is a very strong and powerful muscle. Just keep on exploring and reading different books and u can become a witch.

No. There are no shortcuts. If you are seriously interested in the subject, make a lifelong commitment and find someone local to teach you. Build a very strong foundation of the basics, it will serve you well for many years.
Superficial books will get you superficial results at best and at their worst they may be quite dangerous.

Anything is only as useful as the person to whom it is given. In other words, I can give you a book with a ton of 'answers' in it, but if you can't understand the words I am using, or the reasons behind the rituals, you are not going to get the full benefits from it.
Read the book. If you find it useful, keep it. Or, if you only find certain aspects useful, but others cumbersome or ridiculouse, get rid of it. Build from what works, discard the rest.

Really depends what kind of witch your talking about. There's many types.Satanic witches,Pagan witches or Vodoo witches. It can also be Witches involved in Black magic and White magic or Witches pertaining to shamanists. The magic of herbs and natural healing and wiccans,etc..Many positiv, and many negative types of witches out there. They all focus on different things. And I really doubt that 5 simple steps would make anybody a witch.Try looking for a couple of books that embark on different cultures and rituals.Good luck.

Sure, but also read something else by her or something by Scott Cunningham or Starhawk. Wicca doesn't have "5 easy steps", it's a lifestyle. Also, I have to ask: Useful for what?

Well if you are Christian, that is against your religion.
Becoming/casting a spell to become a witch is dark magic, which is just like working with Satan (actually it is working with Satan.) I reccomend you not, but if you do, you are not following Christianity.
I'm not a hardcore Christian, I don't even go to church. I'm just sayin dude, that's messin with the devil, just like sayin 'Commere, wana steal my sanity?' lol ok just do whatever just don't go too far into this.
I doubt a book would be any good into becoming a witch.

As one who has been a satanist, why bother with the "amateurs?" If you think you can HANDLE it go to the the SOURCE. The "Master." I don't recommend it, but it's your "life......"
