I'm a bigger fan of the xbox 360 based on mainly it's xbox live being so good. If i was going to buy a blu-ray player though i would get a PS3 instead, as it's cheaper plus it plays games. I'm sure in time the PS3 will become better, but for now the price is too hard to justify to be competitive. The wii is not to be overlooked either, it's so cheap and is so different it's been alot more popular than expected and i promise it's not just for kids.

ok those of you who think that xbox 360 is cheaper than ps3 well your wrong. xbox 360=$400 unless planning on buying elite. but anyways console=$400 + xbox live for 2 years=$100 + wireless adapter=$100 + hd dvd=$200. now this all adds up to $800. but if you buy a ps3 then that will be $600. online play is free, and it has built in wifi so u dont need a wireless adapter, and it has a built in blu ray so you dont need hd dvd.

This depends on what you are looking for.

The XBox has a pay-to-play online service, however it is much more rounded and easier to use. It is also a lot cheaper, and with the release of the new black 360 that was just announced.

The PS3 has more power, and potential for better graphics but that will all depend on what kind of software support it gets. It is a much more expensive system, and Sony has lost many of its exclusive titles to the 360 so far.

In my opinion, the 360 is the better system, but it is still really early in the Next-Gen console race to tell.

360 for sure they are practically the same, but there are a few major differences,

1 360 is 200 dollars cheaper, for the same thing
2 Xbox doesn't convert there games to PS, where as PS converts there's to Xbox.
3 To be honest the PS3 was a complete flop, i would waste you money on some like that when you can literally buy the same exact thing for $200 cheaper.

Since I have 360 I would say xbox 360.
Playstation 3 uses the same format as the psp it is lame.
and the 360s xbox live is really good.

the thing is taht 360 cost less and has better graphics and very good games in the original package yet for PS3 they have better graphics then 360 but what they dont tell you is taht to get the crazy graphics you need to buy a extra cord and you need a HDTV and only certain game will have these graphic example war games but when it comes to fighting its back to PS2 graphics If I had to make a choice I would choice 360 because You dont need 657534 extra things and it has really really good war/car/fighting/RPG games while PS3 is probably ganna have good sports and maybe war-------------------------------
But remember one thing 360 is ganna have HALO 3

xbox 360
PS3 might be more powerful but the xbox 360 has way more exclusives like Halo 3, gears of war, and GRAW

Without GTA, assassin's creed, and mercenaries 2 exclusives i just don't see the need for a PS3
