Me and my man have been living together for 3 years. He's 13 years older than me...he's been married before and we just found out the divorce still isn't final. They have no contact and we live in another city I'm not worried about that. He proposed to me once in the first year, (but with no ring and it was sorta corny at the time) I said no until the divorce was final and we'd been together long enough to be sure- no mistakes. He respectfully understood and agreed. But now I am not sure he'll ever ask again and how long should I keep waiting for this divorce to finally end- they've been apart 8 years! He's really comfortable in the relationship as is...but I am still young enough to be wanting more.

He has everything he needs right now: someone to care for him, and an excuse to not be committed completely.

Tell him to get his stuff straight, get the darn papers signed, and realize what he has in front of him.

If he doesnt pick up the pieces in a month, (two if you would), pack his things and move him out. You are young, beautiful, and want to explore the world. You would like to do it with him, but if he cant get his drama cleaned up, you'd be better off finding someone who doesnt have all that baggage.

Good luck, sweetheart. I know its hard.

Well if his divorce *still* isnt final, there is really no point, so either give up the thought of this until that time comes, (why is it taking so long?) or just get out and find someone else, but really if you love him you cant really expect him to make a promise of marriage to you when he cant even legally go through with it, see what happens when the divorce finally arrives.

It's time for you to say something, and probably set some kind of time limit. If you have permitted him to go this long without marring him, it will be a shock to his system. So, if you truly care, I wouldn't be demanding. He has no reason to get divorced as far as he's concerned, but if he knew how important it was to you, I think out of love he would out of love. If he doesn't act (action) as though he wants or needs to I would say you have a huge problem on your hands. Know what I mean?? Good luck!!

If your man have been apart for 8 years from his wife ,it shouldn't take but a few months for him to get a divorce and if he don't you have already waiting long
enought.
