well.. probably what u can do is make it more of a family get together.. involving their parents.. and so that you can also get to know them better. and i bet they wouldnt mind coming up.. if there is a BBQ organised at the yard. have some gifts for the children. thats gonna make it more interesting.

Getting kids to come out to your house will mean that an adult will have to drive them--so you might as well invite the parents too. Like, give a barbecue or something for some of your kids' school friends and their parents (sort of like a birthday party but without the birthday). And then later when the school friends want to come visit, be prepared to go pick them up and drop them back home too. If your kids have particularly close school friends, you can see if they'd like to sleep over once in a while (again, you'll probably have to at least offer to pick them up and then drive them back home after). If your friends right now aren't willing to make the trek to your house in the country, it's going to real hard to get them to start making visits. You might have to settle for getting together "in town" instead and only rarely having them come all the way out to your home.

why not make a weekend thing of it if you have the room ask them to come and spend the weekend. Show them that they can have fun there and they would be wiling to come back. Also being that you are far from everything keep in mind that it might be hard for them to get there so maybe offer to meet them half way and take them to your house and the same for taking them home after. maybe even plan a weekend a month where you can invite them to stay with you and make a party of it that would help in the beginning. Good luck

Have sleepover nights with themes that appeal to the right age group. A lot of the problem is likely the driving/transportation out to your home.
Or find some venue halfway between your rural retreat and where your closest friends live. Be willing to do some of the driving yourself.

first of all ask your children what they like about living in the country because if they have a negative view then they'll chat about how boring it is to their friends.there are tons of things to do in the country but nowadays kids don't want to go outside and play anymore,it's the internet, video games, etc.call the moms and make friends from them by inviting them to some kind of housewarming or a good brain-storming plan to get kids to go back in time and fly kites, camping, horseback riding, loud musical parties supervised by adults.things they can't do in the city.LOL

you need 2 move where society is. no1 will want to visit you if you live in the middle of nowhere. if you dont want 2 move then you need 2 have some kind of activity at your house such as a trampoline or a pool
