I don't think I am pregnant, but anything is possible. I am starting some herbal treatments that can cause birth defects so I just want to be sure I am not pregnant before I start them.
And my periods still haven't returned since my last child was born, and she has been off the breast for 4 months so I wondrer sometimes.

your very smart to do this. It can show up like 7 days later on blood test , some women it still doesn't show on a blood test until about 8 wks.

Doctors recommend a week or longer, but they show up in less. They just say a week so the HCG levels can build up and make it certain. The longer you wait, the more solid a line that pops up on the test. I took one when I was about a month along and they said that beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was.
And regardless of whether youre breastfeeding or not, you can still get pregnant... although breastfeeding makes it less likely, but not impossible.

Usually only about a week after conception for a blood test. Good luck, and good thinking.

i got pos at home test around week 4 and pos blood test by week 6
