This is easy
I listen to my family during the year when I hear them say I would like to buy that some day
I make note of it. When I go shopping I will buy it and put it away. This way I'm not having to pay for everything in December. Usually I have my shopping done before Sept. I have 10 nieces and nephews, two daughters, husband, and several friends to buy for and if I had to buy everything in December I would go crazy.
I have done this for several years and come December I'm all ready and laughing at the ones fighting the crowds. You can find all kinds of sales during the year. Try it it has worked for me and when the gifts are opened they would say how did you remember I wanted this they are always surprises them that I remembered.
Good Luck!

Some of the best gifts I ever bought were pretty simple & inexpensive!! This year, I've simply bought several photo frames that I am decorating myself and drawing pictures to put in them.

I have gone to yard sales & purchased gifts. I also have gone to the company store that I use to work for & purchased gifts that were very inexpensive.

I actually have found that when I didn't go into debt to buy gifts & I made gifts or even when I purchased them at a yard sale, the holiday just seemed a little brighter!!!

And you know, I have a very good friend of mine who cannot afford much BUT anything she buys me is VERY VERY SPECIAL because I know that it comes from her heart!!! I think that's the most important thing!!

Our family doesn't do that anymore - we actually get together and play games and talk about the past year. As a family we focus on one charity organization and give to them what we would have spent on stuff. That way the stuff isn't what we look forward to, but our traditional, pajama Christmas gameboard games, boys against girls, eat as much as we can and talk about everything time together.

Gift Cards, Cds, DVDs, and some toys. My son, and my siblings are spoiled as hell. I make sure I get enough to make everybody happy, cuz they won't see no more presents until their birthday. LOL

I don't buy gifts-it's all so material now. How much money you spend and where you spend it and always trying to outdo someone-it's just a waste
