first of all, what kind of hair are we talking about? peach fuzz? or thick, course, wirey random ones?

waxing should most definetly take care of it for at least a week or two! it shouldn't be growing back in 2 days...thats humanly IMPOSSIBLE. if you're seeing hair after 2 days, the waxing isn't being done correctly. there could be a couple reasons why.

1.) your not cleansing the area well enough. you MUST use a pre-wax solution (found at Sally's Beauty Supply, or any other beauty supply open to the puplic). if the area isn't cleaned well enough, the oils on your skin will prevent the wax from sticking to the hair, which would obviously be preventing them from being waxed OUT.

2.) you're not applying or removing the product correctly. you must apply the product in the direction the hair grows, and remove in the opposite. failing to do this will result in the hair being broken at the skin instead of being pulled out from the root, which will cause the hair to grow in MUCH faster than it should. check to see if theres a bulb on the wax strip...if there's not, you didn't remove it from the root.

if all else fails, you could also get electrolysis. it's pretty resonably priced now, its really not THAT expensive anymore. you could also go to a professional to get it waxed off. i know its embarrassing but i've waxed peoples chins before, its really not that big of a deal. we see weirder and more embarassing stuff ALL the time, trust me.

hope this helps!

Unfortunately, the home remedies for hair removal are really limited. If plucking & waxing make the hair return quickly & thicker, shaving would definitely make it worse. It sounds like your best bet would be to look into laser hair removal. It is expensive, but, with the popularity of the procedure, competing clinics are appearing everywhere. Many clinics now offer specials and discounts, particularly if you pay for the treatments with one upfront lump sum. Also, most of the clinics have a no or low-interest medical financing option that lends a client the total amount of money to pay for the treatments and requires repayment within a year. It might be worth your time to research the clinics & find out what they all have to offer. Good luck!

I get laser hair removal but it really is expensive. Like $1500 for 6 visits (but you get to keep going until the hair is all gone).

If you don't have that kind of money then keep waxing. Supposedly the more you wax, the thinner the hair will start growing in.

Have you ever heard of threading? It's a procedure (usually Indian women do it) and they pull the hair out with thread. That lasts longer than waxing or plucking and also thins out the hair. I get my eyebrows threaded and they cost $6 (I live in NYC).

yo could try nair for the face but if you are a woman go to doc because you could have a thyroid problem and that could be treated with medicine . the reason the hair is coming back is because the hair on your face is different for head hair it grows faster and is courser you could also try using the new soy lotions gergans makes one for legs i don't think it would hurt to use on face it makes the hair grow slower and finer.

They have those home electrolysis things. Not sure if they really work though! Until then, just keep plucking!
