Distance = velocity * time

It's important that you keep all your units consistent in these equations - you want to know distance after a number of minutes, but your velocity is given in in terms of hours - easy - convert your time to a fraction of an hour (40 min = 2/3 hour).

So
distance = 75 mph * 2/3 hour = 50 miles :)
