For guys, it has alcohol in it, and prevents bumps and chafing.
For women, after you shave your legs, just put on moisturizing lotion.

I never use men's aftershave. It's basically cologne. Why not just buy cologne? I spray New York Nights cologne on my neck after I shave. It's made by Designer Imposters. That's all I need. It smells better than most aftershaves. There is something you can use after you shave your legs. It's supposed to prevent razor burn and ingrown hairs. It's called TendSkin lotion. It's a medicated lotion.

It's a very cheap way to smell fresh for a very few minutes. To me it's a waste of money.
A shower clean hair and a touch of Obsession lasts longer. I really don't know if the ladies like it but I've got to use it up because my daughter thought it smelled nice.
