By using them over and over. Of course some equations are complex a nd rarely used so it is only necessary to know the equation exists and where to find it.

Most math equations have been ingrained into my head from an early age.

However, I noticed that it really does help to put the equations to music--the quadratic formula, for instance, is sung to the tune of Pop Goes The Weasel.

Remember, also, to know how the math equations were derived--how did they find those equations? From axioms. If you remember how they found the equation, it should jog your memory into what the equation actually is.
