It is a little late now. They should have thought of that in 1958.
Alaska could not self sustain. California is the only state that could be self sustaining and even that would be tough. Anyway once in the union you are in. We proved that in 1865.

Historically it's gone very poorly when states attempted to break up the Union. But, if you really believe Alaska's population of 50 can do it, go nuts.

It was fairly purchased by the united states from russia and the people living there are legal Americans. Sounds like somebody needs to get there brain out of their *** and do some thinking.
