i would have to say the things that frightens me the most when i'm home alone is when my dog starts barking cuz she usually will not bark unless she sees something, and i have had many things come in my yard. a few years ago my friend and i were at my house the news came on after a show and they described a man that broke out of a near by jail, and had a weapon, my dog started barking and my friend and i looked at each other, he went and got the 12 gauge and i went to look out the window, the freaky thing is that he was in my back yard and triggered my motion sensor light, he looked just like he did on t.v. the lights were already off so we turned the t.v. off to make look like no one home. then went to the safest spot in my house, only one way in and out of there, we waited till morning with the gun, he had left and broke into a house on the same road at the other end. he had shot a guy in the leg and stole his car. and still has never been caught. and we have had bears come in my back yard too. thats mine

nothing Frightens me because God is in control and I need not fear anything as long as I stay on His path, but bad parents scare me because I think about what happens to innocent children while the parents do whatever they feeeeel like doing and the child has to deal with it for the rest of their lives. I think half the time the parents need to be disciplined more than the children

I'm on my own most of the time, day or night, so...
By night, what scares me most is being cold and tired. If I'm reasonably warm and not too tired, I'm good under most circumstances, alone or with others.
What scares me most, period, is being on top of something and feeling as it I am going to fall. I don't mind heights so much as I dread actually falling, even though I've rarely got more than the wind knocked out of me, even falling off a ladder.

Just to mention one; When walking alone deep in the forest at night, I hear sounds that come out of the dark that I cannot identify.
