There is talk backstage (only talk, nothing confirmed), that Randy Orton and those close to him are becoming fearful that he may be made an example of due to the SI story from last week. In other words, he may be fired.
Orton had the hardest story to try and explain what with him having six different kinds of bodybuilding drugs, although he did nothing illegal per say because he had prescriptions for them.
Considering that there were worse stories going around about Orton last year at this time, nothing may come out of this at all, but it is a fact that this is beginning to once again make the rounds.

NO they wont fire randy he is the future of the wwe in an article that said he will be in every pay per view becuase he was in the top 9 it was on wrestlezone see her it is
Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter
No Way Out did a disappointing buyrate, with a first company estimate of just under 200,000 buys. WWE were expecting an above-average buyrate on the back of the 'dream team' main event of John Cena & Shawn Michaels vs. Batista & The Undertaker. The card also had Bobby Lashley vs. Ken Kennedy, so the main stars from all three brands were represented in keeping with the recent decision to feature Raw, Smackdown and ECW on all 16 PPVs.
That decision had arisen from Vince McMahon's recent concern over the success or lack thereof from the single-brand PPVs, which he began to express after Cyber Sunday and increased tenfold after December to Dismember. The 'big nine' stars, listed as Cena, Michaels, Batista, Undertaker, Triple H, Edge, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton and Lashley will now be on virtually every PPV, supplemented by workers on the level of Kane, Booker and Kennedy, while those on the level of Paul London & Brian Kendrick will be featured less on PPV, subsequently pushed less on TV, and be in line for fewer bonuses as a result. As well as the wrestling talent, all three announce teams are expected to work every PPV show too.

It's not a false member, Pro Wrestling Insider is the top website out there (and hey fellow Elite member!). I too have heard the rumor (I listened to the audio last nite), it does have some merit to it, but I don't see it happening. Maybe a depush (although how much more can they depush the guy who has 1 singles win since Christmas?). Orton to be though is boring on the mic, under average in the ring and has a horrible attitude, I won't miss him much.

NO, they will not fire Randy Orton. If they wanted to fire him, they have had more than enough reasons. His behavior away from the ring is his biggest problem. WWE brought in a cocky kid and promised him the world, they are reaping what they sowed. If WWE released Orton, TNA would grab him instantly. Vince does not want that. I look for Orton to have a good feud with Edge this summer and maybe be in contention for the WWE belt by fall.

Good job on listing a source.
I doubt if they'll fire him. That would only feed TNA. They might suspend him again, if only to put a good face on things.
