Truthfully, alot has to do with the Maturity and age of your daughter. Now if she is in College, and grades and Behavior is cool, spoil her. But, if she disappoints you by the opposite, pull the keys ! A Lexus is a little much for normal or even the minor few, Personally, a nice Honda or fancy Toyota Mitch more practicable, but then, I'm not her father. But would sincerely recommend the latter. Good Luck, and God Bless !!

NO. She is 16! ! ! ! What are you thinking? She has no sense of value in a car that is given to her. Even though I know she is the most responsible child ever raised the suggestion that you would give her a car like that means that she has had things like that given to her before so why did you ask? You are going to give her the car anyway. I am sorry to be so honest with you, but you asked.

It's nice that you have the means to afford that type of automobile for your daughter. Other than to impress the neighbors, why would she need an expensive car. She has just got her license, and has very little driving experience. Most teens usually wreck, or seriously damage their first automobile for that very reason. Just get her something cheap, safe and reliable for now. Save that prestige car as an acknowledgment of her college graduation.

OK, sure,...
The fact that you're asking this question in this forum makes me wonder,... Are you full of Crap? Or just incredibly STUPID?
If you're REALLY of such means as to "give" your 16 yo daughter a 2006 Lexus, then you REALLY should be able to resolve this question for yourself.
Therefore, I believe that you have just made this question up,..
out of some sick, displaced fantasy,..
I really HOPE that this is the case and that you DON'T really have a 16 year old waiting in the wings for her 2006 Lexus!

Nope. That would only enforce her 1. Lust for material objects 2. Lack of responsibility (because you know she won't be paying you a dime for it, nor for insurance, nor for maintenance, etc.) 3. Believing she should have life handed to her.
Make her get a job, make her buy her own car, like a responsible automotive driver should.

Sure.. if you are the kind of parent that lets your daughter walk all over you.. push over?
Get her something like a Honda Civic, then she can get an upgrade when she gets a job and has her own money.. don't just hand everything to her, teach her about the value of a dollar.

No, she should not be given such a gift. She's too young to handle the responsibility of an expensive car. Let her work for a car of her own..Give her that and you'll give her a chance to respect herself for something that she has done.

Are you one of these parent that just hand over everything the kids want without them having to work for it or working and saving up and learning the value of a dollar?

NO not unless she is an excellent driver start her off with something cheep that you don't care if it gets beat up or door dings in it (it will happen). Then when she is graduating from high school get her the Lexus if you still think that she needs it.
