the guy who fixed the car did some thing with the radio and now it says it needs a code were do i find it?

The glove box may have the five digit code. There should also be a business card sized card with it. If these have been lost or not installed, and the radio is original equipment, then you can go about it in a couple of ways. Number one, you can remove the radio yourself, if you feel comfortable, and record any numbers on it. One of them will be the serial number and with it you can call any dealer, provide proof of ownership and they will give you the code, which they can track down on their network. Or, you can take it to ANY repair facility, have them remove the radio and call any dealer for the radio code.

Look for a sticker on the inside of the glove box. It should be a 5-digit number using digits 1 thru 6. When the stereo asks for "COdE", key in the 5-digit number using the radio preset buttons (hence the 1 thru 6!). The radio should now operate normally. Now, this is at least how it works in a 2001 Accord, so I'm assuming Civics, also fantastic cars, use the same system. Have at it!!

Did you run your hand along the bottom of the radio it seems to me there is a little wheel under it .I use to own one but i had the same problem and one day cleaning the car i came across this slide switch or wheel not right clear of what it was . but whatever it was got my radio working again .It was on the wrong frequency.check it out I had 2 Honda's so maybe I'm wrong about your year. Sorry if I am but check it out anyway.

The code is on the back of the radio. The only way to make it work is to take it to a Honda Dealer. they will take the radio out to get the code and they will reset it. Everytime your battery is unplugged or dies, you will need to reset your radio.
Its the same with Acura's, VW, Audi, and many other companies.

go to a honda dealer or a place that sells honda parts....you could go to the place you bought it from
try to look it up even
