more motivated and less of a procrastinator? i go in spurts. how do you make it a more constant thing? i have goals but either lack in gumption or end up making excusses of why to put it off. i don't think it's alway a concience thing. is there a motivation site you can go to and have a motivator stay on your case or something like that? please help me to get out of this stop and go kinda funk.

I think everyone has periods like that. Sometimes goals seem too distant (like when I was in the first year of my degree I was miserable, felt I was nowhere, etc.), but I stuck with it and thru the ups and downs I'm almost done now. Set short-term goals and reward yourself for achieving them. Perhaps your goals aren't what you truly want? Bring them into focus and ask yourself why do you want ________? Make a plan to get there. I find it's also helpful making mini goals that aren't necessarily related to the big ones, but overall make your life better. For example, getting back into shape (I used to be super athletic) is an on-going goal for me and really doesn't have a lot to do with finishing my degree, except I know it will make me happier, and the happier I am the more I can dedicate myself to my bigger goals. The more fit I am the healthier I will be and so forth.

I'm sure you can buy self help books on motivation. Even go to a site and read inspirational quotes. Do what makes you feel good, and overall you'll have a more positive outlook on everything.

you have to strive to do things that you are interested in that way you will be more motivated and less lazy...also having someone holding you to a schedule helps too.
