I've never drawn on a computer tablet before, though I'd really like to start.
I'd prefer something reasonably sized... At least 6 x 8?
And hopefully under $200.. though I'm not sure about that.
Just brand names would work great too.
Thanks for your time ~ :)

Just get a Wacom tablet and a copy of Painter X.

Only Wacom.

And don't try to go too cheap on it. You can save the extra money by eating 99-cent Ramen noodles for a month. (yes, i've done it.)

It's all about pressure sensitivity. If the tablet isn't "really good", it will ruin the entire experience, and you'll give up.

Wacom Graphire tablet. You can find it on eBay for like $75. Get a little 5 x 7 one, you really dont need one bigger than that. They work great, and the software come WITH a version of Photoshop, Corel Painter Essentials 2, and Nix Painter. So yeah, it's a great deal. They come in silver, blue, or white, and you can lift the plastic cover off and put your own photo inside. I really love it, and I can't live without it.
Lol, I sound like a commercial.

Wacom is the big brand name in tablets. I used to have a different brand I can't remember the name but I've moved onto a wacom and would never buy anything different now.

I used a 4X6 Adesso for about a month before I went ahead and bought a Wacom Intuous. I babysat 3am to 5:30 pm for a month to pay for the Wacom and it was worth every hour.
