I mean, I'm pretty sure they can, but I just want to make sure before I put it in story I'm working on.

yes they are very difference if you go in to detail. Depression in away is a signifigansce of moody but not completely. Moody usually means just grump or glum.

Sure they can. If you are writing a story about someone with depression or PMS or anything like that - do your research! Just saying a person is moody or depressed is cheating your readers. Make the character fully rounded by doing the research and knowing what his or her problem really is and how it affects them. Pax - C.
