From the dumbest person to the smartest person is really not very far. But college is a waste of time for someone who does not want to go!

That is not true. Almost anyone can go to college as long as they have completed high school. Plus that is what SAT test are for. Also most colleges have you take entrance exams to see what level you are. Then they assign you to an ad visor who will assist on what to major in and what type of classes are suitable for you. It is nothing to be scared of, and you definitely don't have to be a genius. You may become a genius in the end... smile...

I was lead to believe the same line of crap by my own parents. I think they wanted to get out of paying for college. So I went in the Air Force for 6 years. It was while I was in the AF I figured out I could study, and make the grades if I tried. That story goes on for about ten more pages so I'll jump to the end. College is not just for smart people, it's for people who want to try hard to get smart too. If your lazy or unmotivated use that as the reason for not going. One more thing. You can end up with a real harsh job you hate everyday of your life, that gives you no satisfaction and never enough money to take a reasonable vacation, or drive a little funky car with the headliner flapping in the breeze and living in a little funky house with your little funky wife who is as unhappy about it all except more cause she got stuck with your broke lazy butt cause she did not listen to her mom who told her not to think you were ever going to amount to nuthin' by finding a good enough reason not to go to college. Try that on for size. Life can really suck when you don't choose your path and get swept along by the breeze.

No matter how high your GPA was in high school when you get to college you start from scratch. If your friend wants to go to college she can make it. She has to be determined, willing to learn, and willing to work hard. It will also help if your friend finds out what type of learning style she has (visual, oral, hearing) because this will make studying easier.

thats not true. college is not about how smart u are. its about determination. in college u have to do the work yourself. no one is gonna force u. becuz of this it is easy to get distracted. but u have to learn how to manage your time and if school is important to you u will work hard to accomplish your goals.
so tell your friend not to listen to her brother. for whatever reason he is trying to hurt her by putting her down.
