I talked with a mechanic today that said he does it all the time because of the how well it cleans. I'm considering giving it a try. I'm not confident enough to use it on my primary vehicle, but I may give it a try in our other vehicle.
The detergents are the key here, not the octane. "Detergents in fluids help prevent the formation of precipitates and sludge that can gum up valving and coat moving parts." blog quote.

Good luck

No,Don't do that.If you really need to clean your injector's,(the right way)take it to a service station and have them do a fuel system flush. It usaually cost around $100 but it's the right way. Those little cleaners from store are made for long term use to help against carbon build up.

next time you need an oil change, find a 10 min oil change place that does fuel injection cleaning. Ii will cost you more than a can, but those cans arent all that great. And if you want to get a little more octane out of your fuel, next time you fill up you tank add a few ounces of deisel to your fuel.
