my husband is coming from afghanistan, we havent seen each other in a year, where should i take him for a vacation?

Home, then somewhere where it has absolutely no resemblance to where he was. If you can afford it, a quick cruise up and down the westcoast, or go to Hawaii and just relax, or to Phoenix to one of the wonderful spa hotels, learn to play golf together. Hope those give you some ideas.

somewhere romantic like an island or beach, where you and your hubby can relax and enjoy each others company. or you could try a cruise....my friend went on one of those and said she had an awesome time.
they take you to several places instead of just one....that could work out for you since you cant make up your mind...and that way you dont have to choose

first and foremost, the BEDROOM!
then, maybe someplace new that wasn't around in your town before he left. like a new restaurant, new park, entertainment venue, etc... something to show him what has changed while he was gone.
i envy you, honey! the excitement and anticipation must be awesome!

if you are talking about him being in the miitary, relax at home a few days. then someplace nice and peacefull. just to relax& have fun
