I don't know about us being hit again. As long as law enforcement and the intelligence community do their jobs, we will be safe. Most Americans do remember 911 and do not feel as complacent as they once were. Besides, the last time I looked, Al Quida's main base of operations and planning was in the Afghan and Pakistani mountains. Maybe if we were there putting Bush's stubbornness to work, we would have all the key players to the biggest terrorist threat.

As for the cost of oil, I am sure Bush would love to see the cost of oil reach 150.00. It would be more money for him and his buddies. As I see it, since the Democrats took over, the cost of oil is not as rampant as it once was. In the years leading up to the November elections, oil used to increase everyday no matter what the news was. The whole mess in Iraq is based on oil and Bush wanting to prove he does have something between his legs.

Remember, before you bash the Democrats for wanting to get out and thus causing 100,000 Iraqi lives, Bush started this whole thing based on faulty intelligence and an itchy trigger finger. The Republican Congress was also responsible for over 600,000 Iraqi lives in the three years they oversaw the war. So if the Democratic Congress only loses 100.000 in the same amount of time, I say that was a big improvement. And by the way, I see you counted Iraqi lives, but you failed to mention any totals for American lives lost. I believe that would be zero if they all left.

Right, Bush has dones so well thus far, why change the formula? "Staying the course" and the "surge" is like trying to drink your way out of a hangover amigo.

Honestly, I don't think we can leave Iraq as it is. However, i think Americans OTHER THAN THE MILITARY need to start sacrificing for the war. It's sickening the civilian america has not been required to do more than put "Support our troops" on gas-guzzlers.

Well, you are going out on a limb, but I'd say it's a pretty thick one. I too believe that if we pull out of Iraq and cut our losses, that terrorism will gain momentum, and bet the farm on more terrorist attacks on US soil. We have to stay there and fight terrorism, punch it in the mouth, and promote democracy wherever we can. We have been making a huge difference in the quality of life for the Iraqi's. Oh yeah, for all of you battle fatigued Americans, I'm just a Purple Heart Recipient, so I guess I don't know much about the war.

We are going to get hit again no matter what. That is a given. Bush is the Poster Boy for radical Islam! If you think the terrorist attacks are over you are not living in the real world! If you think attacking Iraq made us safer, you are wrong. We just made one more enemy! Saddam actually liked us and hated terrorist!

You seem to think we attacked Iraq for what? Terrorist? Didn't have any! 9/11? They weren't involved!

You admitted this war is about oil!

Mexico and Canada supply 2/3 of our oil. I think there are enough oil producing countries in the Middle East to supply us with Oil!

Lack of oil had nothing to do with the price-gouging by the oil companies! That is why they are on top of the profit heap!

Yes, it may get worse, but don't use the inevitable as a scare tactic for oil profits!

Millions have died for freedom. Many innocent people have been killed by us, many more than have been killed in the US!

Afraid to die? Iraqi's live with that reality every day! Millions of Americans have, many drafted, with no choice! Maybe it is your turn to make sacrifices many of us have already made!

Funny how your number one concern is the cost of oil. How many more soldiers do you want to die so you can drive around with cheap gas?

As for 100,000 Iraqis getting killed, they're getting killed anyway if you haven't noticed.

As for being hit again, how in the world does standing in the middle of a civil war and getting hit by both sides stop terrorism? The terrorists aren't pinned down under our troops in Iraq. They'll do what they want and they'll come here if they want. We should secure out borders instead of wasting more time in Iraq.

Although I think the price on oil maybe a bit exaggerated I do agree with you on the massive amount of deaths that will occur once we leave. The libs will never learn and neither will the pawns who voted for them. Because of their lack of intelligence I would have to agree with Bush's veto. The only option is to continue to do what is right and oppose them whenever they try to destroy their own country.

Liberals are the gutless wonders of the world...they are democrats...and republicans.. Fanatical radical muslims....
have vowed to destroy us. Meanwhile America is starting to crumble within itself...you have congressmen and women passing pork barrel spending that gets funneled back to their own crooked connections...and eventually pocketed...

This farm crap spending...for rotten grapes....etc....etc...

I smell Pelosi......even Feinstein who will resign tomorrow news....

I am sick of dems or reps....using their power to take hard earned wages.....and spending it.......on themselves....

THIS IS NOT HOW IT WAS MEANT TO BE...OUR FOR FATHERS...NEVER IMAGINED BEING VOTED TO OFFICE TO MAKE MILLIONS...IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A HONORABLE POSITION...NOT ONE OF GREED....

WHAT IF NO ONE VOTED........HMMMM

YOU RUN FOR reelection...and no one votes.....
How could you get reelected....you have no votes....

No one to replace you.....

In that regards I would say....Let the Governors run the country...it was always meant that way.....remember that part that says Congress shall not pass any law that inhibits the right of individual states.....

you really need to change your picture. Using a fireman is an insult. Please switch it to an image more suitable to your life, like a McDonalds employee or klansman. Something that when people look at it say "yeah, he even sounds like an inbred moron."
