Although I oppose minimum wage laws, I never though of them as a constitutional issue before. Article 1, Section 8 of the US Constitution lists powers granted to Congress. I see nothing there that authorizes any control of wage rates. This would only apply to Federal minimum wage laws. The 10th amendment reserves to the states and the People, all powers not delegated to the United States or prohibited to the States. That would mean states could pass minimum wage laws without violating the constitution.

How does anything in the Constitution have any bearing on minimum wage? There may be legal questions here, but a Constitutional one?

If we didn't have a minimum wage employers could pay what ever they wanted to. This way they a minimum that they have to pay no matter what. It is up to you to determine if your time and effort is worth that amount or more.
