Walt actually had a very elegant apartment right above the Main Street Fire Station garage. In fact, he used the fire station pole to get down to the base floor quickly. In this apartment there was a small lamp by the window. Walt would ALWAYS light the lamp when he was in the park, day or night.. So now, after his death, the people who work at Disneyland always keep that lamp burning, cuz they know that Walt's spirit is always in the park. Next time you go (if ever) make sure to look at it. trust me, it's ALWAYS on.
He also had a planned apartment in new Orleans Square (he died before it was completed) and also rumor has it that he had an area INSIDE Sleeping Beauty's Castle (or maybe it was cinderella's castle in Walt Disney World......... i can't remember). This idea also fell through due to his death (i believe).
Hope I was of assistance. check wikipedia.org and type in Disneyland for your keyword and do some research. there's bound to be some information there.

Walt Disney was s upposed to have lived in a Fire House in Disney Land. He also had plans to build an apartment in Cinderella's Castle in Walt Disney World in Orlando. Unfortunately Walt died before his dream was finished. The apartment in the castle became a place for telephone operators to work. After this it was used as a character dressing room. It is now a suite you can win a stay in. So the answer is no he never actually lived in Disney Land or Disney World. Hope this helps. I gave you a little more than you asked but I love Disney so much!

As noted in answers by other posters, Mr. Disney had an apartment on the second floor of the fire station in Main Street Square, close to the main entrance. It's pretty small and was not a comfortable place for his family to stay while he was taking care of park business.

There was also another apartment that was under construction at the time of his death, over the top of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, which hadn't opened, yet. It was to be large enough for his entire family to stay in for extended periods and had a very nice courtyard in the back and multiple rooms. It overlooks the public side of the "Rivers of America", right over where Fantasmic plays. The apartment was not publically accessible for most of it's life, but for the past ten to fifteen years has been the home of a very cool Disney art gallery that features concept art, and frequently animation cels, and sometimes maquetttes. Last month it was mostly featuring "Pirates" stuff due to the Johnny Depp movies and the slight retheming of the ride downstairs.

as previously stated, he did have an apartment in Disneyland. there was plan for another (bigger) apartment in Disneyland and one at Disney World in the Cinderellas castle. sadly, he passed away before construction even began on Disney World. when they build the castle, they still left the space there for what would have been his apartment. for the longest time it was not used for random stuff (used for storage, costume changes, etc). not it has been transformed into a special suite that they are giving away free stays at to random park guests. it will probably be rented out eventually for large sums of money. you kind find pictures on the Internet. it is actually very impressive.

I know that above the firehouse on Main Street there is an apartment that he used. You can see a light in the window that is always on to represent that Walt stayed there. This is what my brother found out one time when he asked a Cast Member why was that light always on.

As DiesDx mentioned, yes he had an apartment in above the fire station and had begun a new apartment for his entire family above the pirates attraction. It was never finished before his death. It is now home to Club 33 - a private lifetime club for members.

He had a furnished apartment there. I don't think he "lived" there but he could sleep there if he wanted.
