But the reason why we won today it is because lampard he never plays for England the way he plays for Chelsea(I bet you the next Chelsea game lampard will score that is why he annoys me) It seems that the Lampard we see playing for Chelsea stays at Stamford Bridge he never takes it with him when he plays for his Country. Hopfully he will prove me wrong at the next qualifier.

Well, Here we go again. the old age question of whether a player is a natural talent or do they need other talented support players so as they can claim all the accolades themselves. In Lampards case its just that. Lampard is not a big game player. Never has been, never will be. the only thing lampard has going for him is the spot kick (which anyone can score from, even my grandma) and hanging around outside the 18 yard box to rifle any loose balls TOWARDS the goal, whether or not its on target.....usually not! He has got the talent, don't get me wrong. But if you want a big time player, who can grab a big game by the scruff of the neck and turn things around.......YES you guessed it. Stevie Gerrard. it's not that the two of them can't play together, its that Lampard is used to sitting back and letting the game come to him. thats not his fault at all. thats how Chelsea decide to utilise him and thats how he can be a danger when teams don't pay attention to him. England don't need that style from him. They need the Lampard that made everyone notice who he was when he was with West Ham. a young gifted central midfielder who made the kind of blistering runs that Gerrard now does. Lampard is not the greatest of passers with the so-called 'vision' however he does have that LITTLE and i mean a tiny bit of A**HOLE in him that all central midfielders need. Then again, put it this way if Lampard was around in the 80's or early 90's he wouldn't even be considered as a great force in the middle

Fact is thousands have known and said that McClaren wasn´t the man for the job and he has done nothing to proove us wrong. If we can´t have a voice in the F.A then we have to voice our opinion somehow.

We won last night because we were playing a far inferior team, and weren´t exactly dazzling, but i suppose that is to be expected playing eleven defenders.

The Gerrard and Lampard debate has been around forever, and many of us can see that they don´t perform at their best when on the pitch together. Everybody except McClaren that is.

We need a manager that is not afraid to take chances and doesn´t see that doing the obvious is a dilema.

In his defence, he isn´t helped, nor any manager, by the press. Just give them the finger and get on with it. Pick your team and be judged by that, not others and still be judged.
Given long enough the press might realise that they are just flies on a cows behind, pests but of no consequence.

As regards Lampard, does anyone apart from McLaren think he and Gerrard can play in the same team. But even so anything less than 10 goals against Andorra was a loss. In fact as William Hill gave them a 4 goal start in betting, England did lose the match in the bookies.

Lampard is a world class player but the problem is that he and Gerrard are nt a great combo in the center they just dont gel
If one of them had to be dropped it should be Lampard because Gerrard is far too consistent and influential to be dropped from the starting line up

You all seem to forget who was Englands leading scorer in the last world cup qualifying campaign.......Lampard!!! The reason we one is because Andorra are awful. I cant believe that Lampard is still getting slated and he didn't even play. How about slating some of the woeful players that played last night...Rooney, Downing etc.

I'm sorry to disagree, the reason you won today is because you were playing a team that couldnt hold its own in the conference. Apart from Gerrard, you werent even at the races. I want all the home countries and the Republic to qualify, apart from the Welsh, I think you will have the biggest struggle. Your team has no confidence, no evidence of playing together, and worst of all, ten thousand alleged fans who travelled a distance just to have a winge! Good luck to you.

It's no shock to me. Lampard only looks good when he has other players (Makelele, most notably) to do his hard work for him. This allows him to concentrate on attacking, which to be fair he is very good at.
