I swear by illuminators, like MAC Strobe Cream and Revlon Skinlights. They will help even out discoloration and reflect light, so darker areas are immediatley lifted. Mix a pea sized dot with your foundation or concealer for luminescent skin!
And for specific under-eye areas, always use a creamy, thick concealer, and pat (don't drag!) a tiny bit from the outside of the eye inwards. And if you really need to look wide-awake then dot a small amount of pale pink/silvery eye shadow into the very corner where your nose meets your eye.
