a friend bought little wood pieces like round balls and styrofoam, and made little people with hot glue and gave them to friends and family
they looked nice and only costed about 5 dollors to get the materials for....the should sell for about 10-15 b/c they are homecrafted

What are you good at making?
To make lemonaide or food for resale, you will need a food handler's card.
One thing I make and sell on eBay and various other sites is wedding things. Veils, garters, bouquets, ring bearer pillows, etc. The materials to make these things are extremely inexpensive, and have a pretty high resale value.
For example...the cost to make one basic finger-tip length veil without embellishments is about $5. You can sell that very easily for $25 online. Add some little pearl beads or sequins, and you can sell it for a bit more. Veils sell for at least $100 in retail shops. I have seen some go for as much as $550 or more.

Wire Jewlery. I used to do it all the time. you can get all the supplies at most craft stores. But you'll get them cheaper.. and in bigger bulk online.
You can also checkout ebay.
for instance.... I was browsing body jewlery on ebay the other night...
someone was selling 100 tounge rings for $8. You could sell thenm for 5 bux each andmake quite the profit.

Are you any good with woodworking? You can try making things from wood. Maybe those little signs that people have on their homes and say their last name and/or address.
