We are going to Vegas in June, and want to know if anyone has ever done the $149 ride along for three laps/tour, and if it is worth the money?

My husband and I did the ride along last April. It was fun, but not as scary as I hoped it would be. It gave me a new perspective on how intense it would be to be in that car for a 3 hour race though. I just wished that they had more than one car on the track at a time. You could definitely feel the speed and the tires sliding a bit on the track, but you don't get the feeling of how close the cars get to each other in a race. I guess they have to be careful for insurance reasons.

You can pay to actually go on the race track with other cars but it's like $349-$1499. There are other packages.

I did it in Orlando, FL.. it was only $99 there but was definitely worth it.. you can also pay more and actually drive the cars around the track
