Anything where the animators could actually draw! The misshapen oddities representing humans, animals and possibly deformed monsters today are just turnoffs to me. I can't concentrate on the disgusting, weak and loathsome plots for being distracted by the drawing!
Flintstones (animated version of the Honeymooners,) The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, Casper, Looney Toons, Pink Panther, Snaggle Puss, Fractured Fairy Tales (a personal favorite) anything was better than what they offer up today...
Ok, there are some good cartoons on now...I like Kim Possible and the Proud Family. I also like the one where the elementary school children have a detective agency. All good. All wholesome. I guess I miss wholesomeness in a cartoon. Irreverence is just over the top in a lot of cartoons now.

the only animated tv show I have really followed has to be the Simpsons I love that show. Followed by Family Guy.
The Simpsons are the best wasn't that the first animated tv show on prime time tv?

I love Family Guy, but I think you have to go with the Simpsons because of its durability over time.

Rocko's Modern Life. There have been lots of copycat wannabes, but really there's never been anything like Rocko and his Modern Life. Duck Tales is a close second.
