You have done all you can do pray for him. He is on myspace how do u know what is up with that. Think about yourself you have been friendly already with him. If he was going to do anything he would by now. Ask him about God and where does he stand with Him. Telling him u will be praying for him. See u don't want to be u.

Okay, wow, this sounds pretty serious.
If I were you, I'd carefully assess the situation first. Has this ever happened before? If situations similar to the one you just described have happened multiple times in the past, he is probably just a drama queen and seeking attention.
Although I assume that that's not the case.
Try calling him or going over to his house. Surely his parents could force him to meet with you face to face and to talk it out. Just try to convince him that he is loved by people in this world, and that he deserves to live out his life.
You may even want to call the police or The Save A Friend Hotline.
The most important thing to do right now, though, is to let someone know, and to get in contact with your friend before it's too late, and something drastic happens.

Take what he says very seriously. Just because he hasn't done it yet doesn't mean he won't. Even if it seems like he's just looking for attention, you still have to tell someone about it immediately, because you never know what could happen. Talk to his parents. Be there for him, and let him kow that he is loved. And if he doesn't want you to tell anyone, tell anyway. It could save his life.

Call his parents. If he is your friend, you should speak up and be a REAL friend. He is crying out for something. Don't take this as a joke. If you are afraid of telling his parents, maybe you can talk to your mom. Then, your mom can decide how to handle this situation. Either way, you need to tell somebody before he hurts himself or somebody else.

I know the feeling I was suicidal for a while too. A good friend like you to talk to is a good thing. Don't try to talk him out of it just comfort him and tell him you don't want him to do it.

Isn't there some mutual acquaintance you can talk to? Have you considered that he might be suffering some sort of mental or emotional disorder? It sounds to me like you're still in school (?) Can't you talk to a counselor and ask him/her to keep your name out of it? They should be skilled at this kind of situation. I feel bad for you.

Try to speak to him again. You can refer him to a suicide hotline if you believe he really means it. Give him encouragement and ask him to communicate with his family and other friends who care about him. Hopefully, he just has a case of the blues and it will pass, but if he continues to tell you this, he will need intervention.

Most importantly, you need to go talk to him in person. Make sure he sees that you are sincere and care a lot about him and his situation. Tell him that you don't hate him and that you would be devastated if he weren't around.

Be very direct. Say "I think you are getting ready to kill yourself and I am scared for you. If you are suicidal, please tell me. I SWEAR I'll help you." If this doesn't work, contact his family or his doctor and tell them exactly what you have just told us. Making a call to a suicide hotline is also another good idea.
