Is it just me or is wrestling just about the most fake thing you've ever seen?

It certainly could not be classified as a sport and I'm talking about the wrestling on TV like wrestlemania or whatever, not the real wrestling in high school and college.

For all of you that are calling me a dummy; I just had the opportunity to watch it for the first time a night or so ago. I had never seen it on TV before and you can rest assured that I won't be wasting my time ever watching it again.

Adam, I'm willing to take an IQ test with you anytime. I'm not an idiot. I had just never seen wrestling on TV.

And what else could I have done with that 5 points you say I wasted, bought something?

It's no more fake that everything else on television. Professional wrestling is not a competitive sport. It shouldn't be viewed as such either. It should be viewed as a television show in the same league as Heroes, 24, and Grey's Anatomy. As to why it is in the "Sports" section on YA, you'd have to ask Yahoo!

They don't even pretend that it's "real" anymore. It's just considered entertainment. I can say though that I've seen some pretty amazing stuff though. I haven't watched wrestling for years, but I used to watch the ECW. I saw it live in Milwaukee and watch a guy named New Jack jump off an upper balcony, easily 50 feet up, and put a guy though a table. Both were carried out and taken to the hospital. I believe that was New Jack's last wrestling match (might be wrong though). Point being, there was NOTHING fake about that one. Just good stunt work.

It looks like you got a lot of heat on this question Mr. Kentucky fan. It's fake, we all know that. It just like watching a tv show or a movie. Movies are not real but people watch them anyways, just like wrestling ("professional").

By the way: "most fake?" did you take any English classes in college???

My brother's were HUGE wrestling fans years ago. I told them how fake it was. They didn't believe me. I took them to a live show where "The Million Dollar Man" and "The Ultimate Warrior" were fighting. They flew into each other and fought even out of the ring. They were threatening each others lives and cursing each other. When their fight was over, my brothers and I snuck out into the hallway and we around the auditorium to their dressing rooms for them to get autographs, There we saw them patting each other on the backs and laughing about something that went wrong in their routine. The U.W. had to adlib when T.M.D.M. screwed up his lines and he (UW) almost laughed out loud in the ring. My brother's were furious and have never been fans since.

some of it is staged and those guys are doing the real thing as you can see those guys jumping off those top ropes and landing on someone's chest is not fake!!

if u think its fake dont effin watch it! wwe wrestling is scripted so they noe wut is goin 2 happen! wrestlers sometimes fake injuries so they can get time off but most injuries r real besides that! so again if u dont like wwe wrestling dont f**kin watch it! move on and watch ufc or somethin else!
