Nice looking team man, especially for a 12 man league.... Rather than focusing on your strengths, I'll just tell you what few things I feel you could do to improve.

And by the way, Ervin Santana and Chuck James are INCREDIBLE picks, well done.... will have great seasons.

Back to imroving:
First off is Chien-Ming Wang. You may or may not know he's been hurt. Keep an eye on how this effects him. If need be, move him to DL as the beginning of the season and add a player. Ian Snell, Adam Wainwright, Dave Bush, all possible pickups that could be FA.
Secondly, is Akinori Otsuka. You only have 3 RP's and he'll be acting as a middle reliever because Gagne will close for Texas, at least to start. Consider dropping or trading him for somebody who will at least pull in saves for you. Otsuka will only get some K's and eat up valuable innings!

Lastly, Frank Thomas, amazing pick. Going off of last years numbers, he looks great. But, batters at his age CAN tail off really rapidly, so just keep an eye on his hitting. If he's playing poor, don't be afraid to pickup a hitter who's not a "Big Name" but can hit! People like Adam LaRoche, Ty Wigginton...

Have some fun man! Good luck too.

Pretty good team i'd say. You're pitching is probably the most vulnerable.

With Otsuka you've gotta get Gagne to back him up, Gagne is the current closer and as long as he's healthy, Otsuka's the set-up guy.

Harang and Wang are risky picks, Harang had a break out year but isn't garunteed to do it again and Wang's strikeout ratio is HORRIBLE, plus he's out til may. Ervin Santana and TOrres are good sleepers...

But it's all on how you feel, if you really want to boost you're Pitching, try trading ARod for 2 good SP. Or combine him and Harang for 2 SP and a decent 3B backup.

Overall, decent team, just a little tweeking to do.

okay lets go player for player
c- johjima is top 5 catcher so hes just fine
1b- fielder could hit ya 30-40 homers this year or slide into that sophmore slump that plagues so many i prefer the first choice lol
2b- weeks is in the same boat as fielder cept for the 30-40 homer part its more like 20-30 homers
3b- arod in contract year will get ya 45homers 130 rbis and .310 and steal a good 15 bases as well
ss- jeter is a leader plain and simple good for 15-20/90/.320 and steal 29 bases this year
of- wells will have monster year with frank thomas, troy glaus, and alex rios in that lineup for protection
of- maggs is going to have a great yeaer with sheff in that lineup good for about 30 homers and 110 rbis
of- byrnes has good speed and a decent bat
util- roberts is aging but still worth 40-50 sb this year
util- thomas is this years cheapest 40 homer threat in this years draft
bn- iguchi is a sound player good for 15-20/70/.290 consistent
bn- iwamura is unkown but worht a shot seeing as he hit 32 homers in japan and batted .320 last year
bn- jones could have potentially a good year with lee, soriano, and arm hitting ahead of him

sp- harang is an innings eater and k machine good for 16 wins and 200+ k and 200+ innings
sp- wang is an awful pitcher to have for fantasy considering he strikesout 75 a year pitching 160+innings the upside is he wins ya 17 games
rp- krod is just exactly tthat lol..he will record the most saves in the majors this year
rp- otsuka wont have the closer job due to gagne being in that spot
p- verlander is having a god awful spring this year and i expect the sophmore slump to hit him hard..id stay away from him if after a month cant get it together
p- santana could have a potentialy great year if healthy will get ya between 15-16 wins and 180 k's
p- torres wont save more than 20 games in pitt
bn- chuck james is a great sleeper pick could surprise alot of people as well
bn- nate is the tigers most consistent pitcher

i would drop iguchi and look for one of these sleepers off the waiver wire like chris duncan, adrian gonzalez, ty wigginton, or jonny gomes....you have a great mix of speed and power and average on your team...you get plenty of sb out of jeter, arod, byrnes, and dave roberts and you have power spread throughout the entire team. and you have a decent amount of players that hit for average as well....

as for your pitching id say its decent but you could use a top notch pitcher ...look for these sleepers adam wainwright, clay hensley, or jeremy sowers to help your staff if you do indeed need it..keep an eye on verlander because he has really struggled thus far hes not hitting spots either....you could use another closer because im not sold on torres and i think gagne will be just fine so that means otsuka will set up so look out for jorge julio or a jonathon broxton who will end up closing in la by yeras end or a mike gonzalez who will end up closing by years end as well in atlanta

hope i helped
goodluck
and have fun!!!

Yeah your team has good pitching with lots of depth but maybe its just me but I don't think A-Rod will be a stat machine. See if you can shop him out to an A-Rod fan (unless of course you are one) and get some impact players who aren't exactly on everyone's radar. Jim Thome has been overlooked so many times this year and if you want a replacement for Wang look at Scott Kazimir or Jeremy Bonderman. Neither are ranked high enough for anyone to notice in Yahoo rankings. They are also the biggest strikeout sources in the American League outside of Johan Santana obviously. So if you are willing to part with A-Rod you could spread out more talent. I would also start Iguchi over Weeks. I don't know if Weeks gets more steals than Iguchi or something that you want him there for but Iguchi will get you a lot of average and offense which you could use. Looking at your team all your players are kind of evened out. That is kind of too much of a good thing. You need at least one guy who can be carry your team with power or average. Joe Mauer would be a good grab but since average is one of your categories he might be out of reach. Also drop Robertson because he is gonna go steeply downhill from last year.
