Norton offers a free scan, but so does Microsoft. I'm not sure if Norton will get rid of the virus for you, but Microsoft does. It's called Windows Live Safety Center and you can scan your computer, but it takes quite a long time to do so, but fixes a lot of stuff that is wrong with the computer, including the viruses.
