PMS really explains one of the old expressions for periods, the curse. No man who has ever lived with a female partner could fail to understand that there is a major issue once a month. It is sometimes so severe that it is akin to a short period of mental illness, often without insight that there is a problem. Many women don't ever realise how bad tempered, irrational and argumentative they become.
Vitamin B6, pyridoxine, certainly does help some women at some level, about 70%. Doses taken are often far too small. The over the counter tablet is only 10mgs/day. The therapeutic dose is certainly no less than 50mgs/day.

She could just be cranky that day, could be PMS, could be her, could be you, She could have problems with depression or anxiety or a multitude of other things.
If you notice a pattern, like every 2nd week of each month she flips, for example, she could be suffering (and I DO mean suffering) from either PMS or PMDD and, both of them suck. I'd suggest using a calendar and start tracking those times that she freaks, to see if there REALLY is a pattern. If that's what's happening, I can suggest a couple of things: a diet change - chocolate and salt (in my experience) are two of the worst culprits of PMS. I'd suggest that she limits her eating of both of those each and every month. Sure, they taste good, but seriously, I can say they have a bad, bad effect (but each woman is different). Also, I'd suggest that if she doesn't, she should start drinking at least a few, large glasses of water each day (48-64 ozs/day is what's normally suggested, but I think 32 ozs. is a good start) and eat more fruits and vegetables (fresh, if possible). And, exercise is a good idea, even a 15-30 minute walk each day will help.
If that's not it, well then, I'd still suggest tracking it on a calendar, then you can see how often it happens. She may need to see a counselor (therapist, psychiatrist, etc.) if she has a mood disorder.
Good luck!! Hope it gets better for you BOTH!

sorry but yes it's going to happen for the rest of HER life, it's your decission weather or not you can deal with it. We all become emotional throughout the month, its nature. the only thing you can do to keep your sanity is to agree remember you love her and the Satin girlfrind will go away in a few days. keep in mind she has no controll of her emotions at these times and just be understanding. She still loves you im sure but look at it more or less like she's on vacation for a few days and you have to pretent you love someone you maybe dont all that much. good luck and remember to take all sharp objects away from her for a week. good luck

Every so often womens hormones are out of whack because of the premenstrual cycle just before we get our periods.vitaminb6 needs to be taken middle of the cycle for it to be effective. Sorry you are just going to have to put up with her mood swings.Be supportive. If it bothers you that much then just avoid those awkward times and give her some space.

If she gets aggressive and violent she could go to the doctor for some tablets to help her control it. I know its awful. I treat my boyfriend so badly when I get it! Just try to be understanding and for gods sake only talk to her about it when shes not currently suffering with it or she'll have your eyes out! x

It probably will go on for the rest of your lives. Or most of it! Some girls do get mood swings when they go through the period.

Try getting her to take Evening Primrose Oil every night too. She needs to take at least 500mg. I used to have terrible PMS, but that kicked it into touch for me.

b6 is not a magic potion! if its really not doing anything at all she could try using evening primrose oil as well. this calms my hormones down quite well.
dont expect miracles though.
