A scam.

LGBT people, and straight people, are born that way. This does not change, and is not a "choice."

seems to me that the claims are just a little bit conflicting. In order for anyone to be relieved of a condition that confines one could naturally assume that it is either an addiction, a restriction or an order imposed by an authority or imprisionment penalty as sanction for the violation of a law or accepted norm of society. Now, I cannot see a preference of the same sex as a choice that carries penalties of any kind as same sex marriages are historically allowed and documented. Rational prudent evaluation of freedom desired by homosexuals would be their fear of expressing their preference in a world of accpeted hetrosexuals that believe by teaching that the same sex preference is unnatural much the same as, say beastiality. Beastiality is however, illegal in most places but there are people that participate in that practice or we would not have laws against its use. We as a human being group have walked down a path and there is sufficient number of same sex preference and influence that as the lifestyle is strong enough to support the coming out of the closet, so to speak, each member of the anonymous is confined to the closet until their feeling of security in their unnatural belief is strong enough to free them from the bonds of belonging to the acceptance of whatever circumstances created them to hide in the first place. In short, it is a place to admit what you are under the facade of trying to return to a state of normalcy. Homosexuals is the closet for those that are still ashamed of their choice to avoid criticism.

I'm not a homosexual but all the homosexuals I know are not going to be switched back.

There's nothing wrong with being homosexual, as long as you're not a devout religious fanatic.

The alternative is that God doesn't know what he's doing creating all these homosexuals.

I think God is smarter than that.

I guess a few would switch under pressure, but I doubt it is a high number.

apparently they have a high success rate from among those who honestly apply themselves to the program. As I understand it they treat homosexuality the same as any other sexual addiction. They claim to have good results. Like any twelvestep program their success is in concert with the willingness of the member to apply themselves to the program. The first thing any twelve step program will tell you is that the first step is realising you have a problem. Once that step is taken the other steps follow. I know some people in the program and they say that it has changed their lives.

I suppose it would work as well as any support group offering to help heterosexuals free themselves from heterosexuality. I don't feel there is anything inherently wrong with being homo- or heterosexual. I do, however, believe that the need to change either condition is up to the one, single person involved. I would hate to think of anyone coerced into taking part of such a group against their will but fully support anyone who chooses to do so on their own.

I don't believe it's any more right to force heterosexuality on someone than I believe it's ok to question another for questioning their own sense of sexuality. It's just as ok to explore heterosexuality as it is to explore homosexuality.

"Does it work?"

If you want it and need it enough then, sure, why not? If people can find the true nature of their own sexuality by building a circle of friends who accept them and help them to build the confidence they need to be who they really are then I see no reason it can't work both ways. If some people are living lies by trying to live heterosexual lives than I can't think of a single reason why some aren't doing the same in trying to live homosexual lives. Maybe there are people who actually do need the support of others to help them feel that it is ok to be straight. It would, frankly, seem silly to me to think that any group of people (colour, creed, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, ancestry, etc...) is any more able than any other to not fall victim to the thinking of others or question ones own identity. To assume no homosexuals question their own sexuality is as dumb as to assume all people should be straight and no heterosexual would question his or her sexuality. And to assume one can only live a lie trying to be hetero- while burying homo- needs is every bit as arrogant and self-righteous as assuming it is somehow "right" to be straight.

Most people would like to try to justify homosexuality if their mind wants to go that way. Some want to repent of their desires and if they do that I would like to support them even though I'm not gay myself. What I think is that every man has a woman who is perfect for him and vise-versa.

Besides what part of the penis and the vagina don't people understant.
