Babies can start teething anytime. My friends baby is 2 months and is already starting. As a matter of fact a old boss of mine was born with her bottom 2 teeth!!
Anyway, yes they can, best thing is baby orajel.

Ive heard that they can yes... I met a girl in the WIC office today whos son started teething at 3 months. It all depends on how your angel is developing. If they are fussy for no reason (youve fed them, changed the diaper, checked to see if they are too hot/cold, burped them, etc) then that could be an explaination.
Usually with teething a slight fever is associated. The surest way to see if thats the problem is to give them a cool teething ring, or cool wet washcloth and have them chew on it. If that silences them... then they are teething. If that doesnt do the trick, take them to see the pediatrician right away because it could be something more serious.
Good luck!

I think they can start at 1 month. It isn't very common to - but all babies are different. I thought my baby started teething at 3 months but never got a tooth until 8 months. But he basically drooled that whole time? Not sure why. I have heard of rare cases when babies are born with teeth.

With my first son, you could see him 2 front bottom teeth under the gums when he was born. They came through at about 3 1/2 months. I am sure they could teeth earlier though, but it is probably rare. Ask your doctor.

My daughter cut her first teeth at two months. And yes, two teeth came in at the same time.My dr told me that it prolly wouldnt happen when I told her that i saw little white ridges under her gums at 5 weeks old...but boy was she wrong. And now at 16 months, she has every one of her teeth, including molars. Some babies are even born with little teeth called "milk teeth" but it is rare and they usually fall out.

my baby is teething now, lol--she started with a fever last monday, she was 8 weeks and 4 days old then.

(it isnt as bad as you would think though--she is still happy, she just shoves her fingers all into her mouth-drinks ice cold bottles out of the fridge- and has a low grade fever.)
I give her tylenol for the discomfort & she's fine- she still smiles like crazy and 'talks' and plays.
she is so happy you wouldnt even know she was teething
(she's weird, lol)

Every child is different, my girlfriends baby was born with his first tooth, but my son didn't start teething until about five months.
