I much prefer pubs, more laid back, relaxed, and cheaper, and I can talk to, and hear my friends.
Another alternative are lounges. That way, you get the kinda cool, kinda clubby feel, but it's more chill, and I don't have to dance :-)

I really prefer pubs...you get to know people better and I love meeting new people and just talking away!

i prefer going over to my friends house to drink,they have a big place and a nice warm inviting fireplace .and if i get to wasted i just stay the night.
