I had an interview last friday and the manager said, they would call back within a week if any of us got the position. Well, only one other girl was trying for the same position as me. The manager loved my tag line presentation. Ok, so, my question is how long does it usually take for them to actually call back? I am cute, tall and slim so that isn't the problem. I wore natural makeup, my hair up in a clippy claw and looked like I was ready to take a walk on the beach. I wore Hollister attire and this manager asked me afterwards "you've been recruited right?" I was like "yes, by a couple of managers." So, I guess I am just nervous cause I haven't heard from them yet. I would really like this job, cause I am gonna go into fashion designing...even the manager said, "this is the perfect job for you." So, why have they not called yet? Do you think I got the job...thanks in advance for all of your input...

Well, I didn't get the job as the model (brand rep) mainly because they didn't have an opening to give me for that. But, I talked with them and they are looking for PTI so, I am going in a week to try for that. Hopefully I will get that one...it will really help me considering I am going to be taking classes for fashion designing. Thanks for all your input...

You mentioned that only one other girl applied, but you didn't mention how many men or how many positions were available. The other factors would be your schedule availablity. (Does it fit what they need?) You sound like you have a good chance. Great job on the attire and tagline. You should hear something by Friday, if not call Sat.

It has not been a week yet. If I were you, I would call after lunch on Thursday and ask to speak with the person who interviewed you.

I would suggest saying something like, "At the conclusion of my interview it was mentioned you would be making a decision this week. Has a decision been made?"

If the answer is no, politely ask when you can expect to hear from them. You may wish to reiterate why you are a good candidate and thank the interviewer for their time.

If the answer is yes, I hope you receive the offer and it is a good fit.

You are not being paranoid or anything, but waiting is one of the hardest things.

Don't stress. You've most likely gotten the job. Call and ask for an update. That would give you an advantage as it would show the person hiring that you're interested in the position.
