How to deal with this?

My associate is getting on my last nerve joking around like she does. Okay, she is the kind who jokes but takes it way too far. Like one time she went around telling people that on the school's property, I had gotten intimate with someone. So, people were passing that along. Some believe it, some don't. Now, her latest rumor is that me and this guy that I like got a baby on the way, and according to her; I am three months along. People believe that too since she told them that I got intimate on the school's property.

Neither are true and she is driving me crazy making me have to fix what she damaged. It took a long time to get some of the people to believe me but some still don't.

It's getting really annoying to me and the guy, the bad thing about it is that I do have a little (the slightest) bump in my stomach. We really want her to stop but she won't; how do we deal with this while trying to keep cool?

I have also tried to make her see how I feel but when ever I say something she doesn't like; she pinches me, hits me, or does something else. A few times I have ended up with bruises

We are classmates....she is older by a year

When you say accosiate, do you mean that you work at the school or that you are a student? If she works at the school she can be fired for lying like this. If she is a student I would take it to your counselor or the principal and have them talk to her and her parents about her lying. If she is called out on it she might stop.

you can't MAKE anyone elieve anyhting. The only thing you can do is make good chices, keep your life and your nose clean. If you are not pregnant then in a few months everyone will see the truth and it will be done with. The best thing to do is ignore it. The more oyu make a big deal of it, the bigger it becomes and if you retaliate then you are just as petty and immature as she is.
People will know you by your character- if you are a trustworthy person who makes good choices then when someone accuses you- your reputation will precede you and you will be blameless. If you are petty and immature, spread rumors and make poor choices then people will know you for that and see you as untrustworthy. You cannot control the actions or thoughts of others - you can only control oyurself- when you walk in self control and behave like a reputable lady- then that is what people will see and that is what people will believe when hearing talk about you.
As for those that believe in false reports, it is not worth it to try to make them see or believe something different- some people have a hard time making good choices in their own lives and thrive on scandal and gossip in other people's. In the end WHO CARES what they think. If you are doing what is right and ignoring the immaturity, it will all die down and mean absolutely NOTHING in the end.
All these people telling you to confront her or perpetuate this with retaliation are giving really bad advice as this will only make the situation worse and bigger than what it is now.Just be the mature party- live clean, ignore the garbage and dont retaliate

When time passes by people will realize you weren't ever pregnant. You seriously need to stop letting her walk all over you. Just explain how everything hes said about you has been lie and how this isn't any different. I'm sorry but if someone hit me I would DEFEND myself. You need to call her out i would I don't mean fight her but seriously confront her without holding back or trying to be nice so she can actually listen to what the hell I was saying, DAMN!!

The best approach in my humble opinion is to simply ask her to stop. No, tell her to stop. I don't think she understands how painfully annoying this is to you and how much she would absolutely hate it if it were being down to her. Also, she is most like jealous of you for whatever reason if she needs to talk about you in such rude ways. I recommend telling her she needs to stop, and if that does not work just do not associate yourself with her at all. I understand how harsh rumors like that hurt, so I'd say you should really let her know how ridiculous and annoying she is.

Adress this to her directly. If she dosen't belive the truth than she just gong around telling people a bunch of lies. Some may belive some won't, but thyis whole thing will pass over in a short amount of time and you will know that you're right.

Well, you have three options: You can fight fire with fire, you can fight fire with water, or you can fight fire with emissions laws.

In other words, 1), you can start spreading nasty but believable rumors about her.

2) You can just pretend that it doesn't bother you, whenever you see her act nice and ask her how she is, etc. And soon, that will wear her out.

3) You can plea with everyone in school by getting to know them all better, and eventually more of them will be loyal to you than to her, and they won't let her do those things to you.

Take the joke to the point where you wear a pillow under your blouse to school (make it look real) and when you cant contain the laughter any longer-pull it out...
Also complain that people are looking at you like you are pregnant and you would like to hear where that came from

Go up to her and tell her that the rumors are not funny and that she is acting really immature. If she doesn't stop...

stay away from her and tell those people that she is lying!! And try to loose that tiny bump on your belly so pple will find it hard to believe u r 3 mths preg
