When i say good samaritain i mean like they donate, fund, make a difference that sort of thing. It doesnt have to be a hollywood celebrity, anybody whose name is known.

Bono from U2 has already been mentioned, but I really want to reiterate him because I think he's actually one of the few celebrities who actually cares.
Jimmy Carter is also really active in helping others; he's won a Nobel Peace Prize, after all.

Most big name Sports people have Foundations that they have started or lend their names too. Some want the publicity others do it anonymously.
Music Stars and even Movie Stars fall into the same category as the Sports Stars.

OPRAH WINFREY!she helps chldrenin africa and recently built a school so the students could be safe and given a good eduaction and she promises to pay for their college. i think thats realllly sweet.
