well around here it's no big deal what u wear, nobody teases anyone b/c they dont wear a&f or hollister. as long as u look cute. i shop there b/c they have cute clothes. that's what it's all about right? idk you could get a label but on u b/c u wear their clothes.i shop at walmart & target too and get compliments on those pieces that are usually mixed with something from a&f or hollister. ITS NOT THAT SERIOUS , ITS JUST CLOTHES. it''s a free country, u can wear whatever u want, and u should wear it without someone judgng you !!! i never even knew people who wore a&f or hollister was preps into i came 2 this site. yall need 2 grow up fo real.

For a generalized stereotype of the people that wear these brands I would have to go with the classic "prep". Although I do know plenty of people who aren't typically labeled as this and they have a few pieces from there. Once again it's all about personal style and what you as the individual like. And it's not all about putting people down for their personal style choices either, lets be slightly mature shall we? However, I'll be the first to admit there are plenty of people that do just go with the flow and buy into the entire image thing not to mention labels themselves, but I do believe this is getting into sociology and of course that's a complete different category.

Personally I think that yes they do. I would say that it would be upper middle-class.
Adults wear abercrombie & fitch also which basically says the same thing, upper-middle class.
One can always buy the knock off brand that looks just like the things that are sold in the store.

Most of them are preps, jocks, material girls, but people from all different groups wear clothes from Hollister and A&F. I do and I am kind of a nerd, lol.

I agree with suthernchick. Why doont all of you keep it to yourself?? if you hate those stores then keep it to yourself and that goes for people who like it. Its just a store. just take it as a regular store like target or whatever. i mean you can ask some questions about A&F but all those questions that I read are all mean or whatever. Before I came to this site I thought all those people were just stereotyped as normal everyday teens but i gueess theyre not...

People say people who where those brands are preppy, and "white". (no offense) Although some things from there are ok to wear, but not your whole outfit from there. I don't even see why people would wear it, it's very not unique and not special at all.

They tend to be called preppy, or snobby, etc. I tend to wear those clohes and theres people who hate me because of it. I like their style its not my problem. If you do too, dont worry about what ppl think because ppl who judge you negatively because of your clothes arent your real friends =]

preps, definitely preps. Well, actually, if they completely overexpose themselves with the clothes, which many people do, they're labeled sluts. yeah, many stereotypes come with it. more A&F than hollister. and sometimes, guys wearing A&F are labeled as gay. but hey, whatever floats their boat.
